We reached out to Becky Canday an owner of Silver Horse Care for a detailed response "I designed the mask to be light weight, easy to clean, and no crevices for bacteria to harbor. I want the horse to have access to the mist and have a good escape for the exhale.

If you seal in the mask you are also sealing in the C02 when the horse exhales. If you feel like you want to seal the mask around the horses nose you can add some foam pipe insulation around the top. Our colt mask comes with the foam - not to seal but to cushion the horses nose from the edge of the plastic. I do not see a benefit from sealing the horses nose in the mask - my opinion is that cutting off the air just makes the horse uncomfortable. I am not trying to force the air down the horse, like a bypap machine.

How far does it get into the lungs you might ask…. The silver goes where the air goes. I do not know of a factual way to monitor the depth. Our silver has been laboratory tested to kill bacteria in 60 seconds - out performing the competition hands down. A full kill of the bacteria is essential.

What is Colloidal Silver?

Colloidal Silver is a tasteless, odourless, non-toxic, pure, natural substance consisting of sub-microscopic clusters of silver particles, suspended by a tiny electric charge placed on each particle, within a  suitable liquid. The molecule's size usually ranges from 0.01 to about 0.001 micron in diameter (very small).
